Small Business Financial Health Card

If you are interested in furthering your financial management skills, please join us for the Small Business Financial Health Workshop. The workshop will consist of two sessions that are designed for small business owners and managers who need assistance understanding financial matters.

Sessions will be offered in both live and virtual formats. Each session is 2 hours. View course description and learner outcomes.

If you wish to attend, you must attend both sessions. In-person sessions will take place at the San Marcos library but attendance is limited, so please register early to secure your spot. There is no charge to attend these sessions.

Presenters:

Austin Breckenridge

As Small Business Specialist, Austin Breckenridge creates partnerships with local stakeholders and serves as one of the primary business advisors at PeopleFund. In his role, Austin works 1-1 with new and existing business owners on how to plan, launch, and expand their businesses and covers topics ranging from accessing capital to business planning to financial statements/projections. Before joining PeopleFund, Austin spent six years in small business banking and twelve years as a business owner in the live music and recording industry.

Katherine Sobel

Katherine Sobel is the Director of Training and Education for PeopleFund, a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution serving the state of Texas. PeopleFund administered the Hays County Emergency Cash Assistance Program. Katherine leads a team that helps ensure that entrepreneurs are well slated for sustainability and growth. Katherine expects to graduate with a PhD in Consumer Sciences Education from Texas Tech University in the Fall of 2022 and spends additional time as an adjunct business management instructor at Texas State University and Austin Community College.
